Marjie, I admire your for trying to keep up with and understand today's music and musicians. The final comments in your post are the first words I've read that have made me want to know more about and listen to Taylor Swift. I know I'm missing a cultural icon but that doesn't bother me. But after reading this, I'll pay more attention.

Keep speaking like you do with all those highfalutin words.

Ah...I needed MORE distraction from trying to write my curriculum for next term. I never did figure out why the world is obsessed with Taylor but now that I've looked up some of her lyrics...yeah, I get it. Maybe I can use that one for the metaphors in poetry lesson next week...

Being Gen X (just) I found OFFS easy, all I had to do was voice the first letter: Oh....and then the rest tripped off my tongue. I'm not saying I ever say this under my breath in class or anything....but then I went and read some of the comments on Taylor's songs etc and yeah, I may as well pack up and go home now...English is clearly not needed or embraced. 'Cept maybe by Taylor.

Also TBH I understood maybe 70% of this and didn't bother to go n' look at TikTok as I don't really need more distraction. Reading the lyrics of ThanK you AIme took me far too long to figure out why everyone knew it was about Kim. Far too long. I kept obsessing is that an L or an I? Suppose I needed to actually listen to the song. Yeah. That worked.

Also Fortnite...just saying....

I have all my vaccines done in my left arm because I am right handed. From the vet side we learned that some animals (if genetically prone) can develop cancerous legions at vaccine sites. Thus, the reason they administer them on the limbs now instead of between the shoulder blades. So if a sarcoma develops they can remove the limb. I figure lossing my left arm would be better than the right. Just thought I would share my strange logic.

Hahhahaha, perfect! This really should be published, now. The best thing I've read by far involving the arrival of the heralded album (s).....My biggest peeve about her title is that I've always held a certain regard for the concept of a tortured poet. Something/one that has earned without doubt the right for the title; the words that will live haunting one forever. This for me can not be it - but who cares what I think, you know?

I don’t know/care about her trysts and breakups- but I do enjoy her way with words. The more I listen, the more I hear. Oh and I have a chocolate mint tea that fills the bill as a dessert and a beverage!
