OMG.. those videos are persuasive. The lure to eat healthy low call high protein ice cream is a powerful one.. will I look like the spokespeople after I consume them? I must stop watching those videos or I may also end up with that crazy machine. I find freezing a good old basic fruit smoothy (with protein powder) is a great summer treat but definitely not as sexy.

I might have tried Salada once? It looks vaguely familiar, but my rewired brain doesn't remember for sure. On the other hand, the thought of going back through old teas reminds me I have some jasmine tea bombs patiently waiting their turn. Hmm...

In my family, Red Rose tea held the place of honor as the best tea of all (and imho still is). Family lore has it that, before it was available in the US, my grandmother's sisters would mule it in from Nova Scotia, Canada, when they visited her in Somerville. It was treated like gold, and to have Red Rose tea was a special event. It's possible that this adds to the experience and makes it taste that much better, but I do believe it is the best of the (mass produced readily available and inexpensive) orange pekoe black teas. :)

Love this, Marjie! The PA Capital Star’s headline today is “These Are the Top Five Most Popular Ice Cream Flavors.” Vanilla won, which is so disappointing to me. Then there was this interesting paragraph re one of the local brands (or maybe national, who knows):

<<Breyers became incorporated in 1908. For decades it was advertised as an all-natural ice cream with only a handful of simple ingredients," Gensler wrote. "Then Kraft, who purchased the brand in 1926, sold it to Unilever in 1993 and Unilever turned it into a chemistry set.">>
