Hi Marjie, you have set the hook!🎣 Can't imagine the journey you've been on. The way you tell a story, umm-ummh. We won't be setting that book down any time soon. We wait excitedly with you!
Bravo, Marjie!!!!! The first page is compelling and can't wait to read the entire memoir!!! You write in a way one can actually feel themselves in the moment!!!!!
Off to a fabulous start! I'm so excited for and proud of you. You have already written some gripping, painfully truthful lines. As the mother of a baby-now-man adopted from Colombia, there's a lot I relate to and still learn from. For people who don't have an international adoption experience, your book will provide even more insight. Keep up the hard work, strength, courage, and humor through the rewriting and rewriting and rewriting. Your book will make it!
Holy Canolli, Batman! That was a humdinger! Here I am, still sitting in bed with a cup of tea (yes, yes, traditional old English Breakfast) after having greeted the dawgs, checking my email.
Ooh! I think, Marjie had written again: yay! And I get ready to be amused, entertained, updated.
What an update! Initially I thought you’d started writing some fiction, and it was very gripping! I’d read it in a heartbeat but then to learn the reality. My goodness.
I got inexplicably teary, and the poignant picture of Thing 1 and 2 as babies did not help.
So you’ve been, unbeknownst to us, writing an entire book, a memoir! I cannot wait to read it. But more importantly, how fabulous you managed that, in amongst everything else you had written about that was happening last year.
I’m so glad you managed a first draft, I hope it helped. I’m sure your ESE was key to that.
Thank you for sharing this with us, I’m delighted and touched to be part of this little society of peeps who want to read anything and everything you write.
Also, Happy New Year! Last year sounds like it was turbulent. I hope this year proves to be calmer, and more peaceful.
I'm sipping my own English Breakfast tea responding, only it's 4:30 in the afternoon. Americans. Waddayagonnado. Thank you for being one of those vitally important peeps, and happy new year to you, too!
So where is the rest of it? Not fair.
Revisions are next!
I can certainly understand your friend's reaction. What a breathtakingly compelling start to a book!
Thank you!
I'm looking forward to reading your book! Agree with Scott. That intro definitely grabbed my attention.
Thank you. :)

Yes!!!! Okay.
Okay, Peony tea is a new one on me. Then again, I am someone who has a few teas she reaches for, and the rest are outside the radar, most of the time.
That was an intro. More, please!
Thanks! And peony tea is YUMMY
Put me on the pre-order list, please.
When I get that far! ❤️
Congratulations on the first draft! I am looking forward to reading it once it is published!
