Anyone who won't accept a beagle for credit is a charlatan and should not be trusted. I will be borrowing this picture for my medical portal as I am currently (and very sadly) without a dog. I hope they can pick me out in the waiting room.
Laughed outloud at your comment about forgetting where your car was. I just had a similar experience upon coming out of my doctor's office. There is a small parking lot where maybe four vehicles were parked. After looking up and down the lot several times and thinking who I had to call because my car was stolen, I finally realized it was right in front of me but so dirty from the cold and snow weather, I didn't recognize it ๐ ๐
Umโฆ holy basil, also called tulsi, is actually a thing. Makes a wonderful tea, but should not be used in place of unholy basil, like in a damned pasta sauce.
If that tea works, Iโm gonna order it. (Or maybe make tea from the random herbs growing in my garden. Althoughโฆ they maybe weeds and not herbs, I donโt know.)
So I guess that you havenโt had time to be bored since you retired, huh? Buying houses wth holes in them, selling houses for others, hawking pics of Alice around the internet, opening my eyes to a brave new world of herbal teas not available in Mount Gambier, elevating appliance buying to an art, losing your car, being quoted hither and burgerโฆ (look what they autocorrected nither to!! Yegodsโฆ the 2nd time it was โbotherโ.. huh.)
I will stand by my stevia in my tea, although I will concede it's not so much in fizzy soft drinks.
I gather the "Breezy Cape Cod summer home" description was a literal one. Good Goddess!
Next time I have to do one of those dreaded uploads, I just might sub in the cats' pix, my boycat for the front, little girl in the back. (He's the more sociable one, for the record.) ๐
Holy Shit, Marjie! The Ptown house gives a whole new meaning to "open concept." (I'm sure it will be gorgeous when construction is finished!). Love your driver's license photo!!!
OMG, laughing and grinning from ear to ear. Loved the beagle image for your DL and CC. Powerful tea packaging. Thank you for making my Tuesday morning yet again.
Oh my! Letโs hope โtheyโ replace that whole corner. After seeing that, I would be suspect. With Valentineโs Day coming, I thought Iโd mention this chocolate mint tea I likeโฆ but I canโt remember the brand. ;)
I think that some of your Korean prepared food were what you and I would call prepped. We know the difference between prepped and ready-to-eat. I just pop one of Capone's dinners into the microwave and then overeat .

The godless basil line really got me ๐

"apparently Iโve been using godless basil all these years" produced my first laugh out loud for the day, thank you!
Stevia is vile

Love this one, very entertaining. A few thoughts:
Ohhhhh my god, your house!!!!
Goshy gosh that dog is cute!!!
That tea sounds hideous.
I too use godless basil and have found no difference in the outcome of recipes.
And lemon thins taste like sadness.
I am really enjoying your writing.
Best always,
Dale
Hahahahaha! The beagle photo! Perfect.
But the picture of your poor house, wtf. (how *is* it still standing??)

Of COURSE your basil has been godless. You wouldn't have it any other way, would you?
You have a lot of admirable and great gall. I love the revenge on the bougie stager. Only you would concoct that.
Congratulations on part of a house partly underway. Itโs been a long road but your guts and gall are paying off.
Hang in there. ๐๐
