Marjie, I LOVE this post! Reading it lifted my spirits in every way. I love the variety of topics, and your recording! I’ll be searching out more songs, but probably not rooiboos tea. Thank you and bonito dia.

Gotta add some adjectives:

A delightful, talented writer is coming to town!

They have no idea…. 😉

You always seem to have just the right wee lift of humor in your writing that makes me smile, or chuckle, or even allow me to annoy my family with a laugh-out-loud! Thank you. Keep at it, please!

"A writer is coming to town." Now it sounds like you're going to have a Reputation to Uphold! What will they demand from you? Ach, the pressure!

The one rooibos tea I like is Vanilla Rooibos. I was introduced to it some years ago and remember to seek it out occasionally.

Normally, when I try out a tea or blend, I drink it til it’s gone. Not so with Rooinbos. Reminded me of something I’d drink prior to colonoscopy...

Woohoo! There was so much here to digest. I had to read it, and peruse the links, three times before I could capture anything I wanted to say.

First off: you are a saint! Imagine keeping your community updated and even attempting to Flip The Troll. (I usually just get angry and then unfriend these unreasonable unrational (yes, spellcheck I see you there) and unpleasant people.

Secondly, the link back to your previous writing about the three point turn of the Queen Mary seemed like new news to me…even though I’m sure I read that piece. Perhaps I just didn't remember or pay it enough attention. Sorry for the subsequent, or I suppose preceding fallout of events. As you say, change can be hard.

And thirdly, you’ve got quite a few strings to your bow, don’t you?! (I thought the musical metaphor would be appropriate.) The dog training career n stuff, but then the writing which is always so funny, and then the music stuff… the writing, singing, playing!!

Anyway… enough of the mild case of Wish I Was More Like Marjie, how fabulous you’ve been outed by your soon to be neighbour as a writer! And she covers your songs too! Maybe you’ll start a new band!

Hope Alice copes with the Thing & dawgs influx as Christmas is celebrated and you all have a lovely Yuletide season.

Will be here eagerly checking my emails Wednesday mornings, Aussie time.

I remember you in some of your past lives just as you knew me in a couple of mine. I think it's great that, in my case, becoming a grouchy old crone, we can still start new and exciting projects for which we are recognized. I always thought of you as one of the writers back when we waited tables for our day job.

I thought I had all your Paved Country CDs, but I don't have the 3rd one. I smile when you come up on my 2000+ album playlist. You have a distinct and beautiful voice.

Roii bos is the drink of my life in Africa. I can't drink it now without going back 55 years.

You're a writer! I knew it as soon as I read your first DGDD. I love your style; clever, witty, frank. One day, I hope to make that leap. I'm procrastinating at the moment.
