I want to say something witty and encouraging, but I am totally out of witty this morning so will just double up on the encouraging. I once lived next to John Rawls and then next to John Kenneth Galbraith so there is a real pattern here with my living next to famous authors. Hope that helps.
You will nail this new course, Marjie! I do think "I left my husband when I discovered he was dating our goldfish" may be quite interesting :) LOL!!! Seriously, you got this! Love the pix of Dad supervising one of the contractors!
I would say enjoy your time away, but I'm not sure if that would be entirely appropriate. Hopefully I'll be caught up in the Substackverse by the time you're done.
I feel for you, Marjie. I wouldn't be able to come up with one idea either. I think I've used up all my possibilities. Good luck! I'm sure you have some great material with your father. He seems like a gold mine -- a very funny one. I'll cross my fingers for you that you pass the class which I'm sure you'll do a lot better than you think.
Where did you order the Barry's Tea from ? I have a local market that carries the Yorkshire Gold. . . I love a good strong black tea, with WHOLE milk (duh!!). When it goes cold because I've forgotten where I left it and I find it I pour the rest over ice.
You will be missed but I know where to find you so I will get my Marjie wit and advice in the meantime. June and July both start with J and are in the summer and back to back so they kind of merge together!
I have treasured discontinued Le Creuset mugs. They're the ones with the ribs on the side, in saturated colors. Mine are blue. I even have one that says "Boston Strong", from a yard sale, which I don't use because it annoys me. Okay, maybe they're a different brand. Anyway, mine are great mugs.
I love your irregular posting of a week's or month's musing. They feel like a letter from a beloved pen pal. Don't apologize. It was lovely to meet Alice in the flesh.
Iām partial to Yorkshire Gold , as me mum was from Yorkshire. Anywho I enjoyed the tee-torial š
He is hysterical
It IS about the mug, and I've had Barry's tea and it IS good.
And, I've always wondered about the "no contact" thing...
Can't get more no contact than dead, I wager!
You would be surprised...

It totally does! Thank you. ;)

I hear the goldfish took him for everything.
Thanks!

Thanks!
LOVE the tea guy. And Irish tea will get you awake in the morning or anytime and itās the boldest decaf.
Agreed! And very glad to have you in the class with me!

The house even in this state looks great!
Thank you - I think they don't want my normal ramblings or a semi-doddering Masshole. And therein lies the problem!
I have total confidence in your ability to dream up topics. I've seen it with my own eyes.
Marjieā youāve made my morning again.
How about, āthings I write about before learning to writeā as an idea for the courseā¦.
That's a fantastic idea!
OMG I love him!
Isn't he amazing?

Don't put a cow out of a job!

Now THAT is some wisdom right there!

LOL - I'm having trouble imagining the French with a "Boston Strong" brand...
